CalQRisk Announces Partnership with the Welsh Sports Association

CalQRisk is delighted to announce its partnership with The Welsh Sports Association. The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is the membership body for the sport and leisure industry in Wales, charged with the task of providing leadership, advocacy, and a gateway to business and governance services for the sector.

CalQRisk is a fully integrated end-to-end Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) management information system provider with the Association.

The CalQRisk System is designed to simplify the process of understanding and complying with the Sport Wales Capability framework, Sport Wales Governance and Leadership framework, UK Cyber essentials and reporting, while systematically helping organisations, including National Governing Bodies, to achieve their governance goals.

The solution was established through years of GRC experience and discussions with the Welsh Sports Association. CalQRisk has a long history of developing solutions for and with businesses, charities, and Non-Profit Organisations in highly regulated environments, so the product draws on that deep well of understanding of the key issues.

CalQRisk and Sport

CalQRisk represents a unique, centralised solution for organisations of all sizes.  A central part of the platform is an in-depth knowledge base of risks and associated controls that is updated every time there are changes in Best Practice, Industry Standards, Codes and Legal and Regulatory requirements.

With one-time set up, the system removes much of the laborious and repetitive work which characterises current processes and systematically provides and gathers evidence of the effort. The CalQRisk approach gives organisations peace of mind and confidence that they are meeting their requirements and stated objectives, whether organisational or regulatory.

The solution has a full suite of tailorable, exportable reports as well as interactive dashboards. CalQRisk has the experience and expertise to provide a one-stop solution for sporting bodies managing their governance, risk, and compliance obligations.

Commenting on the announcement Tom Sharp from the Welsh Sports Association said “We are delighted to partner with CalQRisk – the team have been working hard to deliver a solution that aligns to the Sport Wales capability framework, as well as the GLFW. This solution will improve efficiency across the board and enable real-time access and effective support to risk and compliance management.”

At the partnership launch, Paul O’Brien from CalQRisk said “We are delighted to partner with the team at WSA. They have worked with us to inform the requirements of this specialised sports sector product and bring it to market. We are excited by the opportunity to work with WSA and sporting bodies in Wales to support boards and executives charged with the effective governance of their sport.”
