Managing Outsourcing Risk in Credit Unions

Untitled design (5)

May 7th, 10.30am

It is well recognised that managing the risk associated with outsourcing is challenging. The potential benefits of outsourcing are clear but as we all know, credit unions cannot outsource all the associated risk. A strong outsourcing risk management framework is critical to keeping a handle on the credit union’s exposure to this particular area of risk. It should provide clear evidence of the embeddedness of a risk-based approach to outsourcing decision-making and monitoring.

Delivered by Sandie O’Leary, CalQRisk's Head of Risk Advisory Service, this 45-minute webinar will look at the key elements of such a framework which, if implemented at the appropriate level of complexity for individual credit unions, can clearly demonstrate the credit union’s understanding of outsourcing risk for its own business and the management of this risk.
The webinar will take place on Tuesday 7th May at 10.30 am

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • What to do with the lessons learned
  • Q&A

May 21st, 10.30am

Information Security is under its greatest threat. The level of cyber-attacks has grown exponentially since Covid drove many to Work From Home.

Information security standards and guidelines have had to keep pace.

In this webinar we will discuss how the key standards in use have evolved and what the commonalities and differences are. Specifically we will cover:

  • What’s new in 27001:2022 (Oct)
  • What’s new in NIST 2.0 (Feb 2024)
  • What’s in the Public Sector Cyber Security Baseline Standard Nov 2022
  • What’s in Cyber Essentials v3.1 Apr 2023
  • How do they compare? Can a Venn Diagram help explain the differences?
