Paul is a co-founder of CalQRisk and brings extensive business experience managing multinational companies at operations, general management, and director levels. A marine engineer, he has knowledge of the petrochemical, mechanical engineering and energy industry sectors. He has implemented operational excellence programmes at division level and is an expert in management by objectives. A trained “black belt”, he has acted as an assessor of the EFQM award and has led the implementation of a division wide Six Sigma programme. He has driven the integration of complex acquisitions on three continents. He is a director of a number of companies and is an instinctive risk assessor, with a specialty in alignment in the Enterprise Risk Management context.
Gerard is co-founder of CalQRisk with over 30 years’ experience in the ICT sector in various roles; engineering, technical sales, customer operations, IT management and Risk Management. His broad experience in different functional areas coupled with his study and practice in Risk Management enables him to bring a deep understanding of the issues associated with Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity. He is a member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), chairman of the NSAI Risk Management Consultative Committee and a member of the ISO International Risk Management Technical Committee.
Business Development Director
Tom has over 20 years’ experience in the asset management and fund services industries; he co-founded Genii Solutions LLP in 2010 to provide operational/infrastructure consulting services to institutional investors in hedge funds. Prior to that Tom spent 6 years as COO of an asset management firm overseeing $4.5 billion of clients’ assets. Prior to that, he spent 15 years as CEO of one of the largest global hedge fund administrators with assets under administration of over US$100 billion. Throughout his career, Tom has overseen the establishment and management of scalable solutions in both the fund services and asset management businesses. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant and trained at Coopers & Lybrand.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Limerick (UL) where he studied Business Studies majoring in Risk Management & Insurance. He has won several awards while at UL, including the Kemmy Business School Co-Operative Education Award for his work with CalQRisk. He is a member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and was awarded the International Certificate in Risk Management from the IRM. Chris is responsible for coordination of enhancements to the CalQRisk product, from new feature / content definition through to introduction to the customer base. Chris has presented on various topics including risk management & compliance and is familiar with the risk and control environments of many sectors from his work.
Senior Research Analyst
Fiona studied for BA (Hons) International Insurance and European Studies at the University of Limerick and worked in the insurance sector for almost ten years, most recently at Aon Insurance (Ireland) where she was part of the team responsible for the administration of the Personal Lines portfolio. Fiona joined CalQRisk in 2010 and now manages the research, development and support for CalQRisk’s Education and Financial Services products. She regularly represents CalQRisk at industry events such as the NASBM Conference and the Funds Congress. Fiona has a strong background in Customer Service and works closely with new clients during the configuration and implementation of CalQRisk.
Mike has over 20 years’ experience as a software professional with highly developed technical skills and a strong background in developing compliance and regulatory solutions. He has developed risk and compliance based solutions for the Medical Devices, Life Sciences, Local Government and Mining Industries along with developing enterprise solutions for the Manufacturing, Banking, Financial, Logistics, Service and Retail sectors.
Senior Support Specialist
Ray has more than 30 years’ of experience as IT Support and Training professional, working on a wide variety of projects with various organisations, including Computer Support Services, where he worked on the implementation, support and training of their Video Library Control System. While working with Business Computer Solutions, he was responsible for the support, implementation and continuity of Sun Microsystems and Solaris OS, as well as for the Unix-based applications portfolio. Ray worked with Intelligo Payroll Systems on their MS SQL product, upgrading, converting and training their user-base. He has since been involved in a range of implementation and support projects with Piercom Ltd, as well as taking responsibility for user-training for CalQRisk.
Business Development Executive
Sean is a graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology where he attained a honours degree in Business Studies. Sean has nearly 10 years business development experience and has previously worked for organisations such as Zurich, British Sky Broadcasting and EVO Payments International. Sean has extensive sales experience in the Business to Business Sales environment and his role with CalQRisk is to manage the sales cycle from initial contact to sale completion.
Business Development Executive
Jerome has over 35 years’ experience in International, Retail Banking & Assurance Business. He has experience in directing and enforcing Regulatory Compliance Structures, Frameworks and Codes with an active interest in Corporate Governance. He was head of Business Development at National Irish Bank for several years where he looked after growing the business, introducing new products and enhancing the NIB Brand Name. Jerome has a Professional Certificate in Financial Advice, and is a member of the LIA & Institute of Bankers.
Vicki joined the CalQRisk team in March, 2017. Since she first graduated in 2005, Vicki has spent ten years working in the UK’s Higher Education Sector. Vicki attained an MBA in 2011 and an MSc in 2015; she is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and a Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner. An experienced manager of customer service focused teams, she has project managed both service and IT infrastructure based projects. Having been a key connection point between multi-functioning teams in the education sector, Vicki has gained a wealth of knowledge in Education Management and departmental development. Her background also includes collaboration with major external stakeholders such as the NHS, the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the National College for Teaching & Leadership.
